I am ashamed to admit this, but last month marked the first time we visited the Jacksonville Zoo in the 6 years that we have lived here. Apparently we weren't the only ones who wanted to take advantage of the beautiful weather because we are run into 3 other couples that we know. Just when I think that we don't know that many people in Jacksonville a day at the zoo will prove me wrong.
Adelaide loved all of the animals especially the "horse", no we don't have horses at our zoo it was some sort of zebra. Weeks later and she still calls all of the zebras in her books a horse. We took a train ride around the zoo and even had a chance to encounter some dinosaurs.
I'm glad that we got to the zoo as early as we did because as we were leaving the line to get it was ridiculous and my big waddling body was worn out from all of the walking. Chances of us returning to the zoo soon are slim - it is already getting way too hot to be outside.

| A wasn't happy about feeding the giraffe in the beginning, but she got the hang of it. |
 |
| We ran into the Kennedy family and this was taken as Adelaide was getting tackled by Colin. Oh can you feel the love? |
 |
| A loved the carousel unfortunately she wanted to ride the gator - yuck. |
 |
| No one was interested in the goats except for mommy. |

| At the end of the day I was hoping to switch spots with A so that I could take a ride back to the car. |
