New Year with New Crazy

Yes, I am writing a post about January/February and it is officially April.  I've always been behind a few weeks on my blog posts, but this time I am a few months behind and hoping the following is a good enough excuse...

New Job - So it is official that I went crazy while staying at home with the girls, so I decided it was time to start looking for another job.  Good thing my stay at home trial period I have to go ahead and brag about how incredibly lucky I was to snag a corporate human resources position with one of the best companies you can work for, Publix.  I spent my first week of work in Jacksonville and then the next weeks of January in Lakeland, FL at our corporate offices for HR Investigator training.  I have to admit that the first night or two were a fantastic break, but I started to really miss my little family considering I hadn't been away from them in many, many months.

For Sale Sign - Yep, we put the For Sale sign in the front yard and crossed our fingers that we were doing the right thing. After all of the decluttering, cleaning and showings we sold our house in one week.  Now we just prayed we really did do the right thing because there was no more going back.

Packing - Lots and lots of packing, because in 30 days our house was no longer ours.  We had packing help from both sets of parents and most importantly we had babysitters which was the biggest help.

Moving - What happens when you sell your house, but you don't have your new house to move into yet? Move in with the folks.  Grant and I are currently sharing a bedroom with Adelaide and little Penelope is in a room to herself downstairs.

House dreaming and shopping - Many weekends spent in home stores and model homes.

Stressing - No official word on the new to us house yet.

Penelope 6&7 months - Oh and baby Penelope isn't acting so baby anymore.  She is sitting up with ease, lunging at toys and pulling them towards her.  She is babbling like crazy and teething, trying to pull up on everything and army crawling as soon as we put her on the floor.  Oh and Dada had to take a backseat with this baby, because Mama was her first word and then of course Dada came into the picture about a month later.  Favorite toys involve any kind of Mickey or Minnie as long as it has a nose or tail to chew on.

Adelaide - another new school for Adelaide this year.  She was exciting to go at first, but then I went away for two weeks and everything changed.  She regressed with using the potty and the whining hit an all time high.  Things have gotten better, but the truth is she is desperate for as much attention as she can get.  The new school is very different than the past two places Adelaide has spent her time.  The new school is very education driven and less cuddly which threw A for a loop.  A is used to being in more of a playgroup than a classroom, which makes we happy that she should be a little more prepared for school which is going to be here faster than I would like to admit.  On the other hand, I do not like that she is in a class with some four year olds that are about twice her size.

Social calendars - play dates for the kids and the grown ups, birthday parties, Super Bowl party and all kinds of other activities, yay!
