Just June

I remember making forts and tents out of everything that I could find in the house as a kid.  When we lived in Riverview I would anchors blankets and pillows from the kitchen counter, over the bar stools and  play in there until my mom got tired of looking at the mess.  So needless to say when I heard all of the laughing and giggling coming from A's room I was really excited to see this.

On the flip side I was not excited about the other activities that June brought including two rounds of the stomach bug for A.
Round 1-
Yes, a juice box in one hand and medicine on bath tub.

Round 2-
Still smiling

Mommy, please stop messing with me, "my bellies hurt".

Memorial Day weekend

We used to have a little tradition of going to Alabama every Memorial Day and then it seems for a few years that didn't happen, but the good news is we made it back this year.  The great part of visiting Fairhope to see GG and Pap is that you can spend your day doing as much or as little as you like.  Seems to always start out by doing a little as long as you take out the golf and eating and then a day or two into it Steph can tell when I'm getting stir crazy and we need to start doing a lot.  The 6 hour drive after work on a Thursday or Friday always drains me the next day, which was no exception this year considering I was 7/8 months prego and you can't really sit still with a 2 year old anyway.
This visit meant days of playing, playing and more playing.  We went for a walk on the pier at Mobile Bay in Fairhope, shopped at the outlets, ate giant shrimp po-boys, played at the beach in Gulf Shores, went to a concert, pretty much ate an entire lunch made out of samples at Sam's, golfed and so much more.
We love our long weekends in AL, just wish it was a little closer so that we could do it more often!

Nope, Pap is not dead - A was tracing him.

Love this little face.

Nope, she wasn't showing Grant how she was going to ring his neck, they were just talking about gardening.  Needless to say I heard the conversation, took the picture and ran at the thought of outside labor.

I think they were trying to give me mild panic attacks while out there.  I tried to go out into the water twice, but this beached whale kept getting smacked right in the belly by the waves, which I'm sure baby P did not appreciate.

chips and sand equals a healthy lunch on the beach.

After a day of the beach and shopping, A and Daddy took a nap together - can you tell who was in charge?

So the Fairhope and Mobile Mardi Gras parades are now on my to-do list.  Did you know t hat they throw moon pies?!  YUMMMMY

Oh yes, A and I managed to eat the entire thing for lunch - guys went golfing and the girls went eating.  You should have seen their faces when we got home and told them where we had been - hahaha.

I want to help GG.

Adelaide kept yelling "purple, purple, purple" so we finally get to purple and she freaked out and would go near her, so of course I made Grant jump in the picture.

Yes, we have to take books EVERYWHERE we go.

A and Pap listening to some tunes.

Yes, I was there that weekend and NO I do not currently like having my photo taken.

They had a flag parade for the kids.
