Mesick visit

Wouldn't be July is we didn't have a house full of Mesicks. Each summer my sister and her family travel north for a few weeks and they always try to stop by to see us on their way. Short trip this year, but we did get a chance to swim at two different pools and go shopping at the Riverside Arts Market.

Hannah taking pictures of herself - surprise!

the kid has a problem with mulch, used to eat it now but thankfully now she just plays in it.

watching the crazy hippy band

You see that mean little face she is making? She really wanted that little outfit and wouldn't let go. No, I didn't give in, this outfit does not hang in her closet.

yay for early birthday presents.

Russell behind the grill - surprise there either. Just wait until the new grill is in place!

Ya-Ya, PLEASE I really want that new outfit.

sisters or drowned rats at the pool? You guess.

Their cousins, not so identical cousins.

eeeacccckkk - it's cold!

Oh yes, this is my MUCH OLDER sister on the slide.

Freebies

I am sure that most people have the thought every once in awhile..."maybe I'll just quit my job." It may be because you are having a really bad day or you are simply tired. I am one of those that has this thought, I'm not going to lie. So in order to brace myself for a change whether it be because I have voluntarily resigned or the new bank isn't interested in my position I have started using coupons even more than I used to and I scour the Internet for freebies. Check out the box of free stuff I got in the mail. Grant thought that I was crazy while doing to happy dance in the kitchen. So happy in fact that I took a picture.

always something

We've been really fortunate this year on how A has been feeling when it comes to colds and the flu. This was taken right after Father's Day when she really wasn't feeling well. She ran a high fever on and off for a few days and there wasn't anything we could do besides keep giving her tylenol.

Apparently the fever got high enough that one of her therapist thinks that she may have had a fibrial seizure. Long story short after I was crying on the phone with my mom, because quite frankly keeping up with A's "she may have this" it starts to take a toll on me, my mom finally realized what I was trying to say. Apparently this is similiar to what would happen to me as a kid. There isn't supposed to be any real damaging effects to the body, but it did set her back for a little bit, which we are working on.

While we are talking about her health, A is still seeing an OT, ST and getting a PT. Thankfully the therapist are still going to daycare which is what allows me to continue to work.

Daddy is the baby sleep whisperer, he can make her fall asleep anywhere, anytime.

This crazy kid loves medicine.

soccer for all

I don't know if it was those obnoxious horns or the people running around, but A loved watching the World Cup. We just had to keep her little paws off of the tv screen.

pretty sure this was her checking to see if we were looking before she tried to touch the soccer balls.

Go Vols - early

One weekend I left the t-shirt drawer open in my bedroom and Adelaide helped herself. At least she has good taste!

As an update - she did it again and threw all of the other shirts on the floor until she found this one again. Oh and obviously this is an older picture because look who else wanted to wear the shirt, sniffle sniffle

catching up is hard to do

I have the song now playing in my head, "breaking up is hard to do" while I sit here and think breaking up with the blog would be easier than catching up, but then I remember how much I love the fact that all of you want to know about our little family. Maybe not so much the whole family, probably more so our Tootie girl.

Now that the house WAS in some kind of order (before birthday party) and we are home until Labor Day weekend, I am going to finally have the opportunity to start uploading some new photos to share.

So please keep checking back because I have pictures to post of our trip to PA, Adelaide's birthday party, a visit from the Mesicks, vacation in the Caymans and much more.

Remember that patience is a virtue that I hope is bestowed in you!

photo shoot

So my little sister, Kari, submitted a photo of Tootie for a cutest baby contest and now I want to win. Yes, these are the types of things that drive my competitive side. So the prize isn't anything too exciting it isn't her picture on a box or anything, but it is a free photo shoot down in Orlando with the company that did Kari's engagement photos. Didn't know Kari was engaged...my bad yet ANOTHER event I haven't blogged about. I have a lot of catching up to do as soon as I sew and hang up the new curtains in the living room, rearrange my existing furniture until my new couch comes in, hang pictures on the wall, bake, have a birthday party at my house and celebrate my 30th birthday(just the party, not the birthday). So I'll work on the blogging next week because all of the aforementioned will be completed by Sunday morning.

In the mean time back to the photo shoot. So do us a huge favor and go to facebook and 'Like" Whitney Ellen Photography. After you "Like" the vendor you will be able to browse the Cutest Baby Photo Contest and you'll find Adelaide in a photo playing on the bed while watching Elmo on the computer. Please comment on the photo with one simple word...VOTE.

There is a little less than 2 weeks left in the contest, so please go out there and cast your vote - we are currently in 2nd place. Like I said I would really like to win for 2 reasons: 1- my husband is cheap and doesn't like to pay for this type of thing and 2- gives me an excuse to bother my sister for a whole weekend since this was her idea anyway!
