Sleepy baby

Adelaide was really tired the other night. We sat her down with a toy basket in her room and the next thing we knew she put her head down and just sort of fell asleep. What can we say, the kid plays hard.

Chicago

A couple of weeks ago this mommy actually got away for a much needed girls weekend. Nine old timer Zetas made their way to Chicago for Menthol's Bachelorette Party. We did the stereotypical sight seeing, shopping, drinking, eating and even got in a few hours of bridesmaid dress shopping (Leah's wedding will be here before we know it).
All around it was a great weekend, besides the getting sick part but that is a whole different story.

Around the house

Adelaide has officially taken over the former "man room". Grant seems to think that he will get his room back as soon as he is home again, but I'm thinking that's a fat chance.
Here are a couple of pictures of Adelaide's new play mat and her playing on her new scooter.

4th of July

It's amazing how people always laugh about banking hours, but somehow I was one of the few that had to work on July 3rd. So while I was sitting in the office getting my overhead lighting tan, Grant and Adelaide were at home enjoying the day off.
On Saturday we stuck close to home during the day and then later that evening our favorite neighbors came over for a laid back cookout which really turned into an evening of fireworks.

Selvatica

Kari, Andrew, Grant and I found ourselves looking for a little adventure while in the middle of the jungle in Mexico. We had a great time zip lining on 12 different lines, testing out segways and jumping into a cenote. Unfortunately we couldn't take pictures while zip lining, but I can tell you that there were moments of puking (New-New), hanging upside down, flying like superman and of course a few minor injuries.
I 'm pretty sure Grant had to best time while we were at the cenote(natural sinkhole, very clean water) There were two ways to enter, either by jumping in from the cliff or from a zipline.
