Forgot to share a funny little story from when GGB was here for a visit. GGB (Great Grandma Beitler) typically shortened to GB has a hobby that keeps her extremely busy, crocheting. She did a lot of it when she was here visiting for a few weeks and Adelaide kept a close eye on her. One day GB noticed that Grant has a favorite spot on the couch and has a thing for curling up under a blanket and falling asleep for the rest of the evening. So GB ever so kindly started making a new blanket for Grant. When she was finally done with it and gave it to Grant Adelaide had an absolute fit. She started using her favorite phrase, NO DADA NO - IT'S GBs. After yelling this over and over again a few times she proceeded to steal the blanket back and give it to it's rightful owner, GB.
The blanket now lives on our couch and anytime we try to use it, A points out that it is GBs.
Little stories like this make my day because I only remember one of my great grandmothers from when I was a kid and I wish I had the opportunity to meet and get to know the others. Adelaide will never get the privilege of meeting my Dad's parents, Pappy Adam, Pappy Beitler or Pap Gasbarro. Grandparents are important and our time together is limited which has made Grant and I promise to ourselves that we will head North each year so that A can get to know her relatives as best as she can.
