Sunday

I am making a promise to all of my loyal blog followers that on Sunday I promise to update as much of our happenings as possible over the last month or so. Most of the updates will be about the house of course, because that is the reason I haven't had time to blog in the first place.

At this point the kitchen is back to normal, but much prettier. New counter, sink, faucet, backsplash, cabinet hardware and cabinet mouldings are all installed. Along with newly painted cabinets and walls. We still need to install our under cabinet lighting and get some pictures hung on the wall.
So really the room functions at this point, but is lacking character and looks a little bare. I am debating on whether to cover my black leather parsons chairs with a simple slipcover or go with a really cool print like this...

I'm also making the great debate on whether I want to only use maybe 3 parson chairs and use my wicker bench so that Adelaide can sit in a chair that has arms when she isn't thrilled with the high chair.
***gross side note - we have a small galley kitchen and yesterday I was washing dishes while A was supposed to be coloring at the kitchen table. I couldn't have had my eyes off of her for more than a minute when I looked on the floor I couldn't figure out what all of the colored spots were. She had bitten off multiple tips of the crayons and threw them on the floor. Her teeth were blue...GROSS!!

Here is a sneak peek of some of the items in our new kitchen...
3 different kinds of drawer pulls and knobs from Anthropologie that look similiar to this...

All new appliances in stainless, Whirlpool Gold energystar (be kind to the environment)...

We also chose an exotic granite called shiva cream, Grant says it is the tamest exotic out there. Tumbled stone backsplash, Kohler faucet and sherwin williams paint in the colors of pure white and lime light.
Check back on Sunday or Monday and I will have some picture of the kitchen. Keep in mind it won't be decorated, but you'll at least get to see some of the things that we had to do in order to get to where it is now.
