So instead of sitting back and zoning out during tv time I have brought back an old hobby of beading. My friend and co-worker Beth is trying to raise $5,000 for the Donna Marathon in a few months. In order to help hit her goal Beth has donated hundreds of dollars worth of beautiful beads and a few of us have volunteered to turn them into bracelets. The adult bracelets are $20 and the childrens bracelets are $10. 100% of the money paid goes to the Donna Foundation and is tax deductible. While a portion of the proceeds will be used by The Donna Foundation for the critical care of breast cancer survivors in need, the foundation has pledged to donate the majority of funds raised to Mayo Clinic for bench top research and its Multidisciplinary Breast Clinic, which specializes in the detection and treatment of breast cancer.
