Trip to AL

Over Memorial Day the entire family headed west. One car (Grant, Bean and I) went to Fairhope, AL and the other car (Mom, Russ, Kari and New-New) went to Ocean Springs, MS. We have made this into the traditional Gasbarro rendezvous spot to meet up with Grant's sister, Dina and her two boys. It's amazing how much the boys change from Christmas to Memorial Day and then back at Christmas again.

We got off to a rough start on Friday, I received a call from daycare..."she just won't eat, I think you need to come and get her". Great! So I left work, picked her up, called the doctor, went home and guess what...she started eating. So we continued went ahead and got on the road later in the evening for our 6 hour drive, luckily she slept through most of it.

Saturday we were rained in for a majority of the day, but thankfully it stopped in the early afternoon, just in time for Adelaide's baptism. We'll leave that information for a separate post later on. After the baptism, we all gathered at the Gasbarro house for a fantastic dinner by Stephenie and a little socializing.

The second car headed back to MS while the Gasbarro house crashed with exhaustion.

Sunday the boys went golfing and I don't even remember how the girls spent the day...probably chasing energy filled boys and a cranky little girl. Sunday evening we went to the mall where they have fountains for the kids to play in. After that we went to dinner where Adelaide passed out and everyone else indulged in seafood.

Funny thing...with all of the times that I have been to Alabama, I have never been across the Bay to Mobile. Grant took me for a quick spin across the river and by the beautiful homes on Government Street.

Monday before we had to say our goodbyes we took the time to make GG's Mother's Day present, stepping stones from all the babies.
